Free Farm Pyrex Score

My fiancé's cousin was kind enough to keep me in mind when cleaning out his grandfather's farm.

It was funny to hear him tell his relatives all about my pyrex adventures. I assured them that the dishes are going to a good home. His papa always had mashed potatoes in the red hostess... I know what I will be making next time cousin Patrick comes to visit :)

Happy pyrexing!

  1. That is so sweet! What I love about the vintage Pyrex, they all have a story, of family dinners, holidays, favorite foods-it is right there in the bowls we collect, you know??

  2. Forgot to say, I am crazy jealous about the Hostess dish, on top of my wish list is one of those with the 4 smaller dishes that go with it.

    1. Maureen, I wish blogger had a "like" button! Yes, the stories made the dishes even more special! I typically stick to butterfly gold and turquoise... But this was a happy exception! Good luck finding your hostess set- if you are on facebook, people are always trading on the "pyrex for trade" page!
